Each January at our annual Parish Meeting (this year on Jan. 18th at 9:00am), three members of the Vestry rotate off and new candidates take their place. The following Parishioners are our candidates for the upcoming Vestry term.

Will Shull

Will is a native to West TN, having grown up and still residing in Henderson, TN. He attended Freed-Hardeman University earning a BA in History and Philosophy and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. He received an MA in History from Middle Tennessee State University, during which time he met his lovely wife Allison. He is currently a doctoral candidate in East Tennessee State University's Higher Education Leadership Ed.D. program. Will works in Student Services at Jackson State Community College as the Director of Advising.

Will was raised in the Church of Christ, before he and his wife were received into St. Luke's in 2016. He and Allison are thrilled to be raising their two daughters Jubilee (6) and Iris (18 months) in the church. Recently, Will served on St. Luke's Transition committee during the most recent period of reflection, healing, identity consideration, and leadership direction as we worked alongside Fr. Tim True through the selection of Fr. Jesse Perkins. He also serves as a regular Lector at 10:30 services. Will and his family are proud members of this parish, and he hopes to continue to serve as a member of St. Luke's vestry.

Andrea Hazlehurst

I have been part of the St. Luke’s community since my teenage years and was baptized here as an adult in 1990. Only later did I learn that my grandmother had also been baptized at St. Luke’s as an infant in the early 1900s. Knowing that my family’s faith journey has been rooted in this same sacred place for generations makes St. Luke’s especially meaningful to me.

My mother once said that St. Luke’s was the only church where she truly felt she was there “simply to worship—nothing else.” I have come to understand exactly what she meant. There is something deeply grounding and authentic about worship at St. Luke’s that continues to draw me in.

My husband, Edward, was born into St. Luke’s, and we were married here in 2010. Together, we share a deep love for this parish and for the people who make it such a faithful and welcoming community.

I have been a registered nurse for 29 years, spending my entire career in surgery. At St. Luke’s, I have had the privilege of serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, an usher, and a member of the Vestry. I served two terms on the Vestry and two years as Senior Warden. Those years were challenging, yet they were also formative, and I am grateful for the growth they brought—both personally and within our parish.

In the 40 years I have worshiped at St. Luke’s, I have never felt the sense of renewal, growth, and hope that I experience now. I am deeply thankful for everyone who calls St. Luke’s home and for Father Jesse, Jeffery, Kevin, and Katie. Their faithfulness, leadership, and teamwork enrich our worship and make our Sunday mornings truly meaningful.
